The FDNY says two people were injured in a two-alarm fire at a four-story Sunset Park apartment building on Tuesday.
Those individuals were evaluated on the scene but refused to be transported to the hospital.
Firefighters responded to 512 48th St. just before 1:30 p.m.
A video from the Citizen app shows smoke billowing from the building as firefighters actively battle the third-floor blaze.
The fire was placed under control in approximately 45 minutes.
Many of the residents were seen gathering as many belongings as they could from inside, once the fire was put out.
The Red Cross registered 14 households and a total of 57 people with temporary housing and financial assistance.
According to the Department of Buildings, the property currently has 15 open violations, mainly related to boiler issues.
