Police say two people are hurt in a fire that gutted a Floral Park home.
The incident happened on Iris Avenue just before 7 p.m.
Fire officials say a woman inside at the time fell down the stairs while trying to escape.
Officials say a firefighter also suffered second-degree burns on his ear.
Officials believe the fire started in the basement.
