Two men are in police custody Wednesday, charged with fatally stabbing a North Bay Shore man earlier this month.
Jose Acosta, 24, of 9 Patton St., Brentwood, and Jimmy Umanzor, 18, of 20 Marvin Rd., North Bay Shore, are both charged with killing 48-year-old Eddy Jean. Jean's body was found on Michigan Avenue in North Bay Shore on Aug. 10.
Acosta was arrested Sunday and arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip Tuesday. He is charged with first-degree manslaughter. Umanzor, arrested Tuesday, is charged with second-degree murder and will appear at First District Court Wednesday. Police have not released a motive for the killing.
