Two men were arrested early Saturday morning for stealing rims and tires in front of a North Babylon home, police say.
A neighbor who witnessed the alleged theft called 911 after seeing three men in front of 26 Victoria Road at 2:30 a.m.
Authorities say an officer interrupted the theft in progress and immediately took two of the men into custody. They say the third suspect fled on foot.
Diego Adames, of North Amityville, and Dennis Granados, of Copiague, were arrested and charged with attempted grand larceny.
They are scheduled to be arraigned Sunday in Central Islip.
