A 15-year-old boy was rescued from sinking mud along a river Sunday night in Shirley, according to officials.
Police say 15-year-old Benjamin Moore went for a walk near the Wertheim National Wildlife Refuge at around 7:30 p.m. and couldn't find his way back. Police used a helicopter to track him down along with the flashlight on his phone.
Officials were able to pull him out of the muddy water about an hour later.
Moore is expected to be OK with no reported injuries.
