Authorities released body camera footage depicting the lifesaving actions taken by first responders in January, after they were called to a Lake Grove home for a non-responsive baby.

District Attorney Ray Tierney said the situation was so dire, the ambulance had to pull over.

Tierney said the baby was “not only blue, but he was not breathing and he’d been unresponsive for approximately 40 minutes.”

The baby had “acute fentanyl poisoning” and first responders saved his life with Narcan.

The baby is OK, the district attorney said, crediting members of both the Suffolk Police Department and Ronkonkoma Fire Department for their swift actions.

The baby’s father, whose name was not released, is charged with assault.
