The latest flyover tribute to front-line workers took place Friday afternoon.
Members of the 106th Rescue Wing, stationed in Westhampton Beach, took to the skies around noon from Gabreski Air National Guard Base.
The group first went east along the south fork, before turning north to Greenport and following the North Shore and looping around to New Hyde Park.

They made a wide turn and flew over the south shore's major hospitals on their way back to the base.
