A wake was held Tuesday for a college student from Dix Hills who died off campus.
Daniel Michaels was a freshman at SUNY Oneonta.
Police say the Half Hollow Hills High School East graduate was found unresponsive on a sofa at an off-campus apartment on Friday night.
The 18-year-old was rushed to a hospital in cardiac arrest but died.
News 12 has learned Michaels had alcohol and anti-anxiety drugs in his system.
Oneonta Police Department Chief Douglas Brenner said they had reports that this fraternity had a social function earlier in the day at a different location, and that Michaels may have been at the function.
It's not clear if anyone will be charged in Michaels' death.
