Running Corvette stolen from outside 7-Eleven in Coram

Posted: Updated:

Police are asking for the public's help to find a car thief and a stolen car.

Security video shows a man walking up to a running red Corvette Friday night outside the 7-Eleven on Route 112 in Coram.

The video freezes, and that's when police say the car was taken.

Danielle Bovenzi says the Corvette belongs to her husband.

Bovenzi says when her husband got out of the car, he noticed a gray SUV in the parking lot, which he had seen minutes earlier at a different 7-Eleven in Selden.

They think he was followed.

The Bovenzis say the car has a license plate reading LI247TOW.
