Hempstead's school superintendent has been on administrative leave for a year now, and he still hasn't had a hearing.
Shimon Waronker was hired to turn around the troubled Hempstead schools, but claims the School Board was trying to derail his efforts.
The board put him on paid leave after accusing him of bid rigging and misconduct.
His attorney says the charges are false and that Waronker wants his hearing. He’s holding a news conference later this afternoon.
