A group of student reporters from Stony Brook University’s School of Journalism were among the massive crowds at the nation's capital during the March For Our Lives Saturday.
Stony Brook senior Christopher Cameron was one of about 10 reporters who had the chance to cover the event. He says the group had to do a lot of research to prepare.

“We planned out, we knew that it was going to get crowded and very confusing once the protest actually got started. But I don't think I realized the actual scale of what was going to happen…I was in the middle of the crowd taking photos, and I literally could not move,” he said.

Cameron says the main feeling he was capturing as a photographer was excitement.

He says the group didn’t get home until about midnight, and says the experience was definitely worth it.
