STONY BROOK -

A group of student reporters from Stony Brook University were among the massive crowds at the nation’s capital during the March For Our Lives Saturday.

Student Eric Schmid called the event “very high energy.”

“Everyone was happy to be there. Everyone was excited about what was going on,” he told News 12

He says the goal of the trip was to cover Long Island students' journey to the march,  their experiences and why they were calling for gun reform.
