Are you getting what you pay for at the pump?
Inspectors from the Nassau County Consumer Affairs Weights and Measures Division on Thursday checked gas pumps as part of a surprise annual inspection.
Each pump is tested to make sure it's dispensing the correct amount of fuel, ensuring that drivers are not getting ripped off.
Inspectors were performing quality checks for water in the gas and testing samples, which will go to a state lab, for octane levels.
The inspectors also looked for credit card skimmers on the pumps.
News 12 followed inspectors to a Sunoco station in Roosevelt, which received a passing sticker.
Inspectors say drivers should look for stickers that are no more than 1 year old.
