Bronx teen accused of roasting kitten
A Bronx teen is facing charges after she allegedly admitted to the ASPCA that she roasted her friend?s kitten to death in an oven.
According to the ASPCA, 17-year-old Cheyenne Cherry admitted she illegally entered her friend Valerie Hernandez?s home at 721 Vinton Ave., ransacked the place and allegedly threw Hernandez?s kitten Tiger Lilly into the oven with the gas turned up.
Cherry?s next door neighbor, Luis Genau, says he remembers when he smelled smoke and thought it was his neighbors burning food. Genau says he was shocked when he found out the smell was from a burning kitten. ?I'm gonna be afraid to leave my dog around because if they don't like it they're going to do something bad to her.?
The ASPCA says Cherry faces several charges including animal cruelty. If she is found guilty, she could spend at least 10 years in prison.
