The Town of Woodbridge was invited out for ice cream and a meet-and-greet on Sunday with the local first responders.
Sirens & Sundaes was held at Micro Creamery of CT – the town's newest business.
Residents got the chance to meet police officers, firefighters and other emergency service workers. They also got to check out some responder vehicles.
“This is an opportunity for families to be able to come out and see us at a happy, friendly environment,” said one officer. “They can talk to us, they can ask the questions they're not thinking when they're in need of help."
The first 200 attendees received two free scoops of ice cream, courtesy of police.
