The noises and sights of the cheering crowd could be heard loud and clear across the property of the Dennison Building in Hauppauge Sunday, with thousands of people supporting New York's finest.

The Back the Blue rally honored police officers of New York City, Nassau and Suffolk.

Family and friends of officers attended, as well as some lawmakers. The president of the Nassau PBA says that the sheer number of people that turned out at the event is just a great morale booster for the men and women in blue.

The Suffolk PBA president agrees, and says it's nice to see people thanking those who serve the community.
