Lamoriello: Isles' Boychuk will be fine after 90 stitches to fix skate blade injury

Islanders defenseman Johnny Boychuk suffered a skate blade injury to the face Tuesday night when Canadiens left wing Artturi Lehkonen fell over.

Islanders defenseman Johnny Boychuk suffered a skate blade injury to the face Tuesday night when Canadiens left wing Artturi Lehkonen fell over.
Islanders President Lou Lamoriello said Boychuk will be fine but needed 90 stitches to fix his eyelid.
"Your heart kind of stops," said Islanders captain Anders Lee. "It's a dangerous game at times, and to see your friend do that, have to go through that ... it's really scary."
Boychuk on Wednesday tweeted his thanks for the positive messages and thoughts.
