Police: Driver crashes into car dealership in Selden, damages 12 vehicles

Posted: Updated:

A driver crashed into a car dealership Friday in Selden, police say.

The incident happened on Middle Country Road near North Evergreen Drive around 8:45 p.m.

Police say a man in a Dodge Ram lost control of his vehicle and crashed into a Subaru. The Dodge Ram then crashed into the dealership's lot and damaged 12 vehicles, totaling all of them.

In total, the incident caused more than $150,000 worth of damage.

The driver of the Dodge Ram and a passenger were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

The driver of the Subaru was not hurt.

The dealership owner tells News 12 that the damage is "devastating." The incident comes in the middle of the Presidents Day holiday weekend -- one of the busiest weekends for car sales.
