Welcome Tori! Islanders pooch to make debut at Nassau Coliseum

New York Islanders fans have voted to name their newly drafted 12-week-old Labrador Retriever Tori as a tribute to legendary General Manager Bill Torrey.
Tori will grow up to become a service dog through America's VetDogs, to one day assist a veteran or first responder with disabilities.
Earlier this week, Guide Dog Foundation CEO John Miller and the pup's handler Lisa Rossano visited News 12 with the pooch.

"I'm making my NHL debut tonight! Can I get a woof!?" she asked on her @nyislespup Instagram account.
News 12 reported that it costs over $50,000 to breed, raise, train, and place one assistance dog. All of America's VetDogs' services are provided at no charge to the individual thanks to funding from individuals, corporations, and service and fraternal clubs.
