Man pleads guilty to running 'cook lab' in Mastic

A Queens man pleaded guilty today in federal court to running a "cook lab" at a house in Mastic.
Authorities say Joseph Guida, 44, was making ecstasy and growing marijuana in a house on Roda Drive.

The feds had to shut down the block when they raided the house in December 2018 because the conditions inside were highly volatile.

Officials say more than 300 pounds of pot was also found in the house.

Police say Guida was an electrician for New York City Department of Environmental Protection.

Guida is facing up to 20 years in prison.
