Shoreham-Wading River football coach accused of grabbing player will be reinstated

The Shoreham-Wading River football coach who was accused of grabbing an Islip player on the field and removed from his position will be reinstated Monday, News 12 has learned.
The mother of an Islip football player told News 12 that Shoreham coach Aden Smith grabbed her 17-year-old son in the neck area and started shaking him.
The player's mother, Adele Valenzuela, says the incident took place during a scuffle between players.
The Shoreham-Wading River School District says the incident happened back on Aug. 30 during a scrimmage between Islip and Shoreham-Wading River.
Smith will be reinstated Monday, News 12 has confirmed.
In addition to coaching football, Smith is also a teacher in the Longwood School District.
