Creating art, with a chainsaw. That's how a Jericho man carves wooden sculptures.
For nearly 30 years, Gregg Klewicki has been turning wooden stumps into pieces of art.

He carves all sorts of different wood sculptures, but he mainly makes bears.
Klewicki spent 25 years carving at Indian Head Ranch on Jericho Turnpike in Huntington, he’s now set up shop at the Milleridge Inn in Jericho.
He can carve one of his bears in just a couple of hours.
The bears go anywhere from $100 to thousands, depending on the size. Klewicki says seeing his customers' reactions to the finished product is the best part of the job.
