Public hearing set for Tuesday on plan to bring sports betting to Connecticut
The proposal requires Gov. Ned Lamont to reach a deal with the state's two casinos by Oct. 1.

2h agoA public hearing is scheduled Tuesday that will focus on a plan to finally bring sports betting and online games to Connecticut.
The proposal requires Gov. Ned Lamont to reach a deal with the state's two casinos by Oct. 1.
The state would get 8% of sports betting revenue and 10% from online betting.
Casinos would have to pay a yearly fee for regulation. In addition, Connecticut lottery would be able to sell tickets online.
The plan also states that sports betting would be allowed at tribes and they could get exclusive access to expanded gaming.
