Prospect Plaza Community Center hosts pop-up vaccine site

The Prospect Plaza Community Center is hosting a free pop-up vaccination clinic today.
The site is one of 11 pop-up sites across New York with the goal is to increase the vaccination rate in areas that are below the state average.
Crown Heights is reported to have 35% of people with at least one dose, compared to the state average of almost 55%.
This is the second vaccination event the Propect Plaza Community Center has hosted and offered the Johnson & Johnson single-dose shot.
According to Gov. Andrew Cuomo, more than 200 community pop-up sites have administered more than 90,000 first doses of COVID-19 vaccines since January.
The site at the community center is only open today, but Gov. Cuomo says the state plans to provide more vaccination pop-up sites in the coming weeks.
