Two people are charged with a home invasion and assault on Dutton Hill in Torrington, according to police.

Jacob Greene and a Cassie Lucca entered the home by breaking through a basement apartment door, police say, and then assaulted the resident inside just before 1 a.m. Wednesday.

According to authorities, Greene demanded the resident give back items, he said previously belonged to Lucca from a prior relationship. Police also say Greene was armed with a pistol-style paintball gun, which looked like a real handgun.

Lucca and Greene were both charged, police say.
