Police: 15-year-old fatally struck by bus outside school in Sheepshead Bay
Surveillance video has been released of a fifteen year-old girl that was struck by a yellow school bus outside of James Madison High School in Brooklyn.

6h agoA school bus driver is accused of running over and killing a teen outside of James Madison High School in the Sheepshead Bay area.
Right at the intersection of Bedford Avenue and Avenue P, police say a yellow bus driver made a turn and struck the girl in the crosswalk before fleeing the scene.
The driver of the bus has been identified by police as 55-year-old Aleksandr Patlakh, and has been charged with failure to yield to a pedestrian and failure to use due care.
This comes after Transportation Alternatives stated that 60% of pedestrian deaths were from major violators.
As of right now, Patlakh was given a desk appearance ticket and will have to come to court at another date.
