Owner of Riverhead restaurant arrested after town code investigation

She is charged with false personation and alcohol sale without a license.

The owner of Main Street Restaurant and Bar was arrested Saturday, according to the Riverhead Police Department.

Police say that while conducting a town code investigation at the business on East Main Street in Riverhead, they discovered it did not have an alcohol license to operate, along with other town code and fire code violations.

They took Rajkumarie Shivmangal, 43, of Southampton into custody, they say.

She is charged with false personation and alcohol sale without a license.

She was taken to Riverhead Police Department headquarters and released on a desk appearance ticket.
