A popular Broadway play is ending its run, while another plan begins at a theater down the Shore.
The Broadway play “The Piano Lesson” will end its run this weekend. The classic play was written by August Wilson and stars Samuel L. Jackson and John David-Washington.
The plot revolves around a dispute between a brother and sister over what to do with an heirloom piano carved by their enslaved ancestors.
Meanwhile the show “Popcorn Falls” is getting its start at the New Jersey Repertory Company in Long Branch. The comedy revolves around a small town that is bankrupt and about to be taken over by the big town down the road. It runs through Feb. 12.
