An NYPD officer from Massapequa is recovering after being dragged by a car Friday night.
Police say the unidentified officer stopped the driver at an East Harlem checkpoint.
News 12 was told the driver, who had a suspended license, took off with the cop clinging to his steering wheel.
The suspect has not yet been apprehended.
