Nesconset man accused of stealing from Nassau business
A Nesconset man accused of stealing more than $11,000 from a Nassau County business will face a judge today.
Police say Stephen Sherman claimed he was an accountant and promised to do tax work for Vista Verde Landscape and Masonry.
Investigators say Sherman wrote checks that were supposed to pay federal taxes but he ended up keeping $11,000.
