A line of storms that spawned tornadoes and left a path of destruction in the Midwest is moving through the tri-state area tonight. Although they will have weakened by the time they reach. our area, wind damage is still a very real threat.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Let's get back to that bitter blast coverage first time of the year we're doing this or this season and it's rough and it's lasting too long, Scott. Yeah, but it's not going to last for that long. We're gonna be back towards the fifties as we go to the end of the week, but still bundle up. If you're heading outside, it's gonna feel like the twenties all day long. We're gonna be looking at this throughout the city going to feel like the twenties. But then as we go later on tonight, from sunset into the overnight towards Wednesday morning, yes, it's going to feel like the teen. So definitely bundle up, wear the scarves, the gloves and anything that keeps you nice, warm and toasty. Maybe even a cup of cocoa because it is brisk. It is biting wind. It is blustery, but it's still beautiful outside. Look at a gorgeous view over Coney Island this morning. 34 is what it is right now. But that wind out of the west 16 MPH makes it feel like the twenties and that's the way it's going to be all day long because we're not just seeing the cold air, not just seeing the wind we're seeing. Yes. The dread of that's where some snow flurries coming on in from the Great Lakes. But because of this dry air, it might not come down here in the city. We are going to be seeing that chance this afternoon. So definitely prepare for that. It's going to be beautiful. A few festive flakes. Nothing much though as we go into the afternoon, mainly between two and six is when we can expect that. Use the hashtag N 12 Storm watchers take a picture. Then things turning clear and cold as we head into Wednesday morning and gusty winds as well. 10 to 30 MPH. Tuesday, a little less breezy as go Tuesday and Wednesday, but still biting cold. So definitely prepare for that anchor down those holiday decorations if you haven't done so already, upper thirties to around 40 today, cold windy going to feel like the teens tonight. But then we are looking at cold weather Wednesday, then back to the fifties Friday with a chance of rain. That's your look at your hyper local forecast, Scott.

We've got uh meteorologist John Cubit join us and uh, John, we started off cold temperatures this morning when it gets cold like that. You really aren't in a rush to get outside. No rush. You need the jackets today. It's really gonna be tonight into tomorrow where things really set in, kinda, kinda chilly out there. And again, I who puts us on bitter blast, the coldest air tonight it's here tomorrow morning with those feel like numbers only in the teens for your tomorrow. So do brace for that. Those gusty winds 15 to 30 MPH will certainly add to that chill for. Yeah, we're really getting into some winter like feels and again, beginning with today into this afternoon numbers tapping out into the upper thirties. Now again, a lot of sunshine is gonna be with us, but just do not let that fool you heading into the late parts of your morning, early parts of the afternoon just stepping out for lunch. You'll be happy to grab that bigger coat as you began your day. Here's a look at your three o'clock. Our kids getting off the bus, finishing up school. You got 34 for orange, 35 for those out to a bridgeport, out to a Greenwich, you gotta go pick up the kids. Numbers are gonna, again, only be in the mid thirties tonight into your tomorrow. Again, that's when we're getting into the thick of things. Real cold air temperatures dropping off down into the twenties for your tonight and here tomorrow to begin your day again, those feel like numbers will be in the teens. We're talking 11 or 12 degree feel for areas north up to our cornwall tomorrow afternoon is gonna be similar to this afternoon sun and clouds still work with a bit of a breeze. And again, we're watching for, uh, some sunshine. But again, do not let that fool you. Thursday, we do a little bit better after another chilly start, but the afternoon starts to grow a little bit better as far as temperatures are concerned back into the upper forties. More seasonal, 50 degree weather returns for your Friday. But we're gonna keep our eye to the sky for some late day rain. Becky.

Wanna get back to Hilda now talking more about temperatures when we have bitter blast. We know they're not looking too good, Hilda. No, that's right. And then we add also on to the factor of those active winds kind of influences that wind chill and over like feels currently not too bad as we're waking up, kind of getting into the teens in places like white plains, Newburg and up also into Kingston. But we could notice that as we progress throughout the afternoon hours, that's also when we'll notice a shift in wind out of the northwest and adding on to that cooling factor that will also descend even further. Our feels like for tomorrow morning in the meantime, as we're heading out the door and getting ready for the school bus of 32 degrees, but it definitely feels like the twenties. We have to dress for this specific um range of temperatures this morning. We'll notice though that the icons, although they're windy, we'll notice a mixture of sun and clouds today and it will still continue to feel chilly and of course, that chilled wind will also be here for this afternoon. Now notice what's a good component when we're talking about winter weather as well as how cold it is. Those little white spots that you could, you guessed it. We're talking about snow. Well, not too much of as far as accumulations go, but some lake effect snow across the Great Lakes is kind of he heading our way with that westerly wind and that means that those snow bands could eventually mean some of festive flurries and snow flakes for us. Now, the cold will stay persistent for today as well as tomorrow. And we could notice with brisk conditions today, winds gusts upwards to 25 mile per hour range and it will feel relatively frigid. I would like to describe for tomorrow. Now, we are also monitoring the po potential for some rain by Friday and possibly impacting weekend plans over the next 12 hours. We'll notice some sunshine, then it becomes a little bit more limited with more clouds. The winds will become a bit more gusty also into the afternoon time frame and we will stay pretty consistent into those twenties. So we definitely need to be mindful of how bundled up we are today as well as tomorrow. We are highlighting the potential for another day of concern for your Wednesday with these cold temperatures overnight, lows into the twenties and teens and we feel a little bit better when it comes to the temperatures for both Thursday and Friday heading into the weekend with a potential for some rain showers. The camera is moving. Winds have been around 20 to 30 MPH sunshine this morning. A few clouds this afternoon with the chance of a few flurries out there as well. With the cold weather conditions, the air is coming straight out of the Arctic towards Long Island. So a quick shot of a bitter blast with the sunshine this morning wind chills with that gusty wind. Air temperatures in the thirties. It feels more like the twenties. So what do you need to do? Dress in layers, the gloves, the hat and the scarf. Now for winter standards, it's overall not terrible. But again, we're still in November. This is our first good shot of colder weather with a gusty wind. You can see, feels like temperatures in the twenties. Some snow showers north and west watching this as we go into our afternoon between one and 4 p.m. there will be a chance of a few flurries or a passing snow shower, bundle up Greg, the warm boots, grab the gloves, the hat and the scarf, especially if you have to be outside for a prolonged period of time. Construction workers, landscapers dress in layers, hyperlocal high of 39 degrees. We're looking at breezy cold weather and again, the threat of a few flurries or a passing snow shower for our afternoon clouds will build this afternoon after a lot of sunshine this morning at around 233 30. Again, there's our little flurry or snow shower passing through. And with that gusty wind, it feels like the twenties. It's dry for the evening rush hour, but it's cold right through tomorrow morning. And then again, the winds will be with us through Wednesday wind chills in the twenties this afternoon going into the teens by the time we go towards Wednesday morning and then a slow warm up by Thursday and Friday, you can see by Friday clouds are coming in a south westerly wind, that's a warming wind and that will lead to some showers towards Friday evening high. Say thirties to around 40 degrees cold weather conditions through tonight. Lows are in the twenties with the cold weather conditions and taking a look at that extended forecast. We're looking at the warmer weather with some wet weather coming in as we go towards Friday with highs near fifties over the weekend, I'll be towards uh Port Jeff Station today with Mariano Rivera Honda dealership. He'll be there as well for, uh, giving Tuesday and we'll do a live broadcast starting at noon.

That's a good question. Here's meteorologist, Mike Wizo Thursday. How's that? So Thursday temperatures rebound sim and conditions across New Jersey just have to get colder between now and then. So for today, we'll notice that the, the air really sharply comes in tonight. So we start to feel like, what, 17 degrees in Sussex County later on this evening at 930. Uh, not too, uh, you know, it's, it's not the worst cold we've seen. Uh, but, you know, I, I want to say it's not too bad, but for some of us it's like, all right, this is annoying. This is cold, right? So just bundle up, think the air feels sharp. You want to bite back at it by wearing warm clothes. And that's the case for tomorrow morning, tomorrow morning. Feel like temperatures all across the state, not just the northwest corner now going to be between what, 12 or 13 degrees and about 17 degrees. That's a feel like temperature in the morning. So it just feels nasty tomorrow morning, especially the wind 15 to 25 MPH, maybe gusts near 30 at times. It does rebound a little bit by the afternoon, feeling closer to the freezing mark, but high temperatures don't get out of the thirties. It's just going to be again a cold day. There's only so many ways I can say it. So the winds coming in from the west 15 to 25 MPH gusts up to 30 as we head through today into tomorrow morning. And that's essentially it with the wind and the cold and how it settles in, we start to rebound as we turn into Thursday. So that's something to look forward to with high temperatures tomorrow. Similar to today. The only difference is that tomorrow's air is drier and we have a different type of air kind of settling in to the state. That's why we're going to feel a little sharper tomorrow when compared to where we're at today. Because today's temperatures are very similar to tomorrow's afternoon temperatures with a high of 3839 degrees. Here's Thursday's forecast. You'll notice that the rebound comes in with upper forties, 4950 degrees in parts of the state, upper forties in the northern tier. With those temperatures rebounding, we do end up with a sunny weather. So it actually is going to be rather nicer Thursday and that's it for the cold, at least for now. It's just one small shot of cold between today and tomorrow. Back to the fifties. We go for the weekend rain showers Friday night into early on Saturday. But the weekends mostly cloudy with sprinkles again on Sunday night.
