HEAT ALERT: Heat advisory in effect for NYC with temperatures expected to rise into the 90s

A heat advisory was issued in the Bronx and Brooklyn from noon to 8 p.m. Saturday as high temperatures and humidity could cause heat-related illnesses to occur.

Storm Watch Team Meteorologist Darryl Green says a scorcher of a weekend will take hold in New York City with temperatures in the 90s.
A heat advisory was issued in the Bronx and Brooklyn from noon to 8 p.m. Saturday as high temperatures and humidity could cause heat-related illnesses to occur.
SATURDAY - HEAT ALERT: Hazy, hot and humid with plenty of sun. Highs near 92. 75-80 at the immediate coast. Lows near 73, a muggy night. SUNRISE: 5:33 a.m. | SUNSET: 8:12 p.m.
SUNDAY- HEAT ALERT: Hazy, hot and humid again! Highs up to 91. 76-81 at the immediate coast. Lows down to 66 with a few showers or storms possible at night.
MONDAY: Mostly cloudy with a lingering shower or storm in the morning. Exact timing TBD. Highs near 74, dropping down to 56 at night.
TUESDAY: Mostly sunny and tranquil. Highs near 70. Lows down to 55.
WEDNESDAY: Mix of sun and clouds, cool. Highs around 69. Lows near 60.
THURSDAY: A chance of late-day showers and storms. Highs up to 78. Lows near 63.
