Hamptons International Film Festival brings big films to Long Island in a whole new way

It's a big weekend for film fans on Long Island.
The Hamptons International Film Festival always brings big names, and some of the world's best films to the East End.
This year, industry insiders and movie buffs will experience screenings and events in a new way.
David Nugent, the festival's creative director, says this year they will have a hybrid of drive-in screenings and virtual screenings.
Some of the films highlighted include:
"Minerie" is a film with Stephen Young.
"One Night in Miami" is the directorial debut of Regina King.
They will also have the world premiere of a film about Harry Chapin.
What's special about the Hamptons festival is their View from Long Island section - showcasing local films and local filmmakers.
They will also have one-on-one conversations with Kate Winslet, Steven Young and Leslie Odom Jr.
This film festival is the only in the world to have screened what would be the eventual best picture winner.
