Four Loko to no longer be sold in New York

After a growing outcry from lawmakers and parents against the drink Four Loko, the company that produces the drink has agreed to stop shipping the drink to New York.
The agreement comes after a number of people have been hospitalized after consuming the drink. A few deaths across the nation have been blamed on the drink as well.
Four Loko has been the center of controversy due to its high alcohol content, as high as 12 percent, and its high caffeine content.
The state liquor authority had been pressuring the legislature to change the laws to allow them to ban the drink after they say they found a lack of evidence to show the drinks were safe.
The drink has already been banned in Michigan, Washington, Utah and Oklahoma.
