FDNY: Man found dead in vacant house fire on Brighton 5th Street

One man is dead after a fire sparked late Monday night in a vacant Brooklyn home.

One man is dead after a fire sparked late Monday night in a vacant Brooklyn home.
Police and firefighters rushed to the two-alarm fire on Brighton 5th Street and found a man who was trapped in the basement of the home. He was unconscious and was rushed to NYC Health + Hospitals Coney Island where he was pronounced dead.
FDNY says the fire started in the basement and quickly spread to the first floor bringing it to a two-alarm .
The fire marshal has yet to determine what caused the deadly fire.
