A Rockville Centre man is suspected of stealing more than $1 million from a special needs camp.

Nassau County District Attorney Kathleen Rice says Drew Morgan, of Rockville Centre, stole more than $1 million between 2008 and 2013 from Camp ANCHOR, a Lido Beach-based recreation program for adults and children with special needs.

Morgan served as the treasurer and a board member for the Anchor Building Fund. The 42-year-old is also accused of stealing more than $130,000 from the nonprofit that raises money for Camp ANCHOR and Impact OASIS, a separate organization that creates job opportunities for people with autism.

Morgan is also charged with stealing nearly $250,000 from two sisters who employed Morgan as a financial planner.

Morgan himself has a 12-year-old daughter with special needs, according to his lawyer.

If convicted, Morgan faces 25 years in prison. He is due back in court on Oct. 21.
