News 12 Long Island has learned that a marijuana dispensary could be built in Nassau County.
Bloomfield Industries is proposing the facility at the site of a professional building in Lake Success.
State health documents show the dispensary would be located at 2001 Marcus Ave. If approved, the dispensary would be open next year.
In Suffolk County, a different company wants to set up a facility at an old Blockbuster store on Route 58 in Riverhead.
However, that proposal is facing opposition after residents say it's too close to Riverhead High School.
