Christmas season buzzing in Westchester with annual Yonkers Christmas tree lighting

The Christmas season is getting underway Thursday night in Westchester with the annual Yonkers Christmas tree lighting.
The event is organized by the Yonkers Downtown Waterfront Business Improvement District.
"This is a reblooming of everyone coming out and celebrating," says Sara Brody, the executive director of the Yonkers Downtown Waterfront BID. "We've been really luck this year. We haven't had businesses go out, we've actually grown businesses, restaurants, service businesses - it's been fantastic."
The lighting features live music and Christmas sweets like hot chocolate, brownies and candy canes.
The waterfront will be lit up on Monday to celebrate the holidays.
