Caroline Simmons officially sworn in as Stamford's 32nd mayor
Caroline Simmons was officially sworn in as Stamford's 32nd mayor Wednesday.
Simmons was sworn in during a private ceremony at 12:01 a.m.
Attorney General William Tong administered the oath of office.
Stamford’s City Charter sets the mayor’s term as beginning on the first day of December succeeding the election.
The public swearing-in ceremony took place at the Stamford Government Center Wednesday morning.
