Police say a woman was injured when her car slammed into an auto body shop in Patchogue.

The incident happened on Potter Avenue near Main Street at the Big ‘n Littles auto body shop.

According to police, the unidentified woman somehow lost control behind the wheel just before 2 a.m.

She was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

News 12 has been told the Village of Patchogue building inspector was called to investigate structural damage to the building.
