A Westport teen has returned from a trip to the U.S.-Mexico border where he volunteered to help immigrants at a shelter.
Sod, along with his mother and brother, went to McAllen, Texas, to volunteer at the Humanitarian Respite Center.
Sod says the shelter provides immigrants with clothing, food, medicine and showers.
The shelter also helps immigrants get bus and plane tickets so they can join their families as they wait for a meeting with a judge.
