The trial for a Kings Park man accused of killing his newborn son is underway.

Christopher Foster is charged with second-degree murder for allegedly killing his 1-month-old son in 2011.

Prosecutors say the baby suffered blunt force injuries, including a fractured skull.

Defense attorneys say there is no evidence Foster is responsible for the child's death.
