Winter is a tough time to entertain the kids, but as News 12's consumer
reporter Janice Lieberman tells us in The Real Deal there are great deals out
there to keep them busy.
Admission at many parks can be pricey, but she found ways to grab a discount to
make parents and kids happy.
At the American Dream Mall, you can grab twilight admission, where you can
access all the great rides and attractions for the last two hours of operations
for $39 to $55 less than prime hours.

Want to hit the outdoor slopes? For skiing and snow tubing, many resorts in the
area - like Mount Peter in Warwick, New York, and Mountain Creek in Vernon, New
Jersey - offer the biggest discounts if you are willing to go in the late
afternoon or early evening, you can save $20 to $30 off regular priced lift
tickets.
Don’t forget about your local libraries, you don’t have to just go to read or
take out books, many have a calendar of free events and entertainment for kids,
and families.
The Brooklyn Children’s Museum offers free admission on Thursdays between 2
p.m. and 5 p.m., but you must reserve your tickets in advance. Check out other
local museums to see if there are any free or discounted times.
Look for student, senior and veteran’s discounts.
Check social media or Groupon for local discounts to events in your area and at
the parks.
Don’t forget to pack snacks, drinks and lunch as that can really jack up your
bill.
