A tentative deal on a new state budget that would include tax relief could soon be announced today in Albany.

State Senate Co-Leader Dean Skelos from Rockville Centre says lawmakers are on the verge of a budget agreement.

He expects a tax freeze and tax cuts to stimulate job creation.

The budget deadline is April 1.
