NASA helped bring a unique look at Saturday's snowfall on Long Island.
Stony Brook University partnered with NASA to break out a new mobile weather truck. The vehicle has a research trailer with radar.
Researchers hope the cutting-edge technology will help to better understand storms like yesterday's, and to improve future forecasting.
The school has received $1.4 million from NASA for research over the next few winters.
