Stony Brook University has been named one of the top 40 universities in the United States.

The SUNY school is now ranked number 39 by the QS World University Rankings, moving up from number 45 the previous year.

Stony Brook also ranks as the number one public university in New York, and number 13 among public universities in the whole country!
