An elementary school student in Southampton is sick with enterovirus, though it is not the strain that has infected hundreds across the country.

The Southampton School District posted an alert on its website Tuesday about the student, reiterating that the student does not have enterovirus D-68.

As a precaution, Southampton Elementary School will be closed Wednesday and the entire building will be disinfected.

The school is set to reopen tomorrow.
