Long Island's Disco Fever featured a very special sendoff on Friday.

Antone "Chubby" Tavares, lead singer of famed disco crew Tavares, says he's stepping down to focus on his health following Friday's performance.

"Long Island has always been a great spot for us," said Tavares, who helped popularize the group's hit song "More Than A Woman."

"It's only reasonable that I would want my farewell to be a part of New York," he added.

The performance is part of a 45th anniversary celebration for the classic film "Saturday Night Fever," featuring other disco groups.
