Sentencing has been postponed for the Islip man who beat his friend and buried him alive.
Thomas Liming was found guilty of second-degree murder in the 2011 death of 18-year-old Kyle Underhill.
Prosecutors said Liming bludgeoned and choked Underhill, then buried him alive in a swamp on Brook Street in Islip.
Liming faces life in prison. He was due to be sentenced Monday, but authorities say sentencing will now take place on Jan. 27.
