Robert Dearing, of Massapequa, killed in early morning car crash at intersection of Ocean Avenue, Ruth Place in Lynbrook

A Massapequa man was killed in an early morning crash in Lynbrook.
The accident occurred just before 4:30 a.m. at the intersection of Ocean Avenue and Ruth Place.
Police say 25-year-old Robert Dearing crashed his Chevy Impala into a sign post and a tree.
Dearing was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police are investigating the cause of the accident.
